Introducing Frances, Shane, Liz & Stephen

SCOTLAND: Frances talks about life as a wheelchair user. Far from preventing her living life to the full, her disability has been a springboard into raising disability awareness through her working and church life.

ENGLAND: Shane is 8, is blind and has limited communication abilities. His mum Samantha adapts the traditional teaching material for First Holy Communion to create a multi-sensory book he can enjoy. The book has a transformative effect on Shane - and on all those around him.

WALES: Liz has cerebral palsy - and a passion for music. An overwhelmingly positive person, her music touches everyone at St Josephs in Port Talbot - a school which has its own story to tell. Through all this, Liz comes to realise that she is no different to any other person in school.

IRELAND: Stephen's accident at sea turned his life upside down and left him needing a wheelchair. But through a supportive community, a visit to Lourdes and his own personal faith, he has fought back. His determination, as Bishop John Fleming says, is an inspiration to us all.
